Refuse to Fear
Comments by Kenneth Copeland - Word by Keith Moore - September 11, 2001

Upon hearing of the terrible attack by terrorists on the United States, the staff of Kenneth Copeland Ministries immediately went into prayer and intercession for the nation and the thousands who were victimized by this cowardly offense. During prayer, the Lord told Brother Copeland that "This is an attack of the devil against God, against His people and against all that we stand for, against our stand with the Nation of Israel."

The Lord also spoke words of prophesy through minister Keith Moore, who was at KCM on Tuesday to tape the Believer's Voice of Victory broadcast with Brother Copeland. Following is a message Brother Copeland delivered to the body of Christ on Tuesday, the prophecies spoken by the Lord through Keith Moore, and some closing remarks by Brother Copeland.

Hello, this is Kenneth Copeland. Of course, immediately at the first news of this terrible attack on the United States this morning, this ministry went into prayer. We called a special chapel for all of the—all the ministry staff here at KCM, all the church, all the television people.

Keith Moore and I were just before going into the studio to do some
broadcasts for the daily Believer's Voice of Victory program, and so Keith and Phyllis were there in the chapel with us. And we—all of the whole staff went into prayer, and the Lord gave me these two scriptures to stand on.

One is Psalm 91, where, "Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He'll cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

"A thousand shall fall at thy side, ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked."

Now, first of all He said, "You shall not be afraid." So we made a—a decree, we made personal decision in there today to refuse fear and to refuse to be afraid. Not be afraid of terror, not be afraid of the arrows that fly by day or the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday, all of these terrible acts, that we refuse to be afraid. We refuse fear in the Name of Jesus.

Then in the 54th chapter of the Book of Isaiah, particularly beginning with the 13th verse. "Thy children shall be taught of the Lord; great shall be the peace of thy children."

Now the 14th verse, beginning right here: "In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror, for it shall not come near thee.

"Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: and whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake."

Now, of course, we know that God was not behind this, and I—you know, there are people foolish enough to say, "Well, the United States is being judged by God."

God is not a terrorist when it comes to blowing up people and tearing down buildings and attacking nations and so forth. No. This is an attack of the devil against God, against His people and against all that we stand for, against our stand with the Nation of Israel. But, we know in Whom we have believed, and we stand wholeheartedly. We don't back away from our stand with Israel. We strongly pull alongside them. And we don't back away from our responsibilities in this to pray and stand strong.

Now, in that chapel service, the Spirit of the Lord came on Keith Moore and he delivered a powerful, powerful word that I want you to hear.

—Kenneth Copeland

Oh, hallelujah. (Speaking in the Spirit.) Hallelujah.

I heard in the Spirit, this thing meant for terror shall return on their own head, and they have sown terror and they shall reap terror multiplied. And I decree in the Name of the Lord and Master, Jesus, Lord, they have despised You and they have flown in Your face and they have attacked Your people.

Now, Lord, in the thing they trusted in, the terror they intended to impose and inflict, let Your fear fall on them now. Show them the fear of the Lord and the terror of the Lord and who they have attacked, that those that have any heart may repent and those that do not may be destroyed.

In the mighty Name of Jesus, Lord, let what they have sown return upon them in vengeance, and the peace of the Lord shall be ours.

And, Lord, we pray Your peace and Your calm on everybody, on every emergency worker. The terror that they intended, we speak against it. We come against it, that it shall not affect, it shall not stand; but, Lord, let a blanket of peace, a blanket of peace come down on that—on those cities and on this country and on our leaders, so that even though we feel our injury and we feel our hurt, yet we are not distraught and we are not in terror, because the strength of the Lord is in us and on us, and the peace of the Lord is in us and on us; and when they see that we are not afraid, let Your fear fall on them, that now they will be terrified, they will be in fear, they will be in terror. And let them know that there is a God in Israel and there is a God in the U.S.A., there is a God in the earth.

Hallelujah. (Praying in the Spirit.)

Oh, turn this around, Lord. What the enemy meant for terror and destruction, turn it around and get glory to Yourself. Turn it around and show Your mighty power. Oh, we call upon You.

I saw something else. Like Brother Kenneth was talking about, our side is not the natural side. It's not for us to take up arms and deal with this, but our side is—is as important, even more important, the spiritual side.

And in the Spirit I saw—and this is something we can do as a group. I saw the Lord taking His hand and uncovering the perpetrators of this, from the—from the least to the greatest. People that other people had no idea they were involved in this or that they were behind it, that if we would ask Him to and agree on this, the Lord is going to—I just saw His hand, take it like you would lift up something, and there's all these despicables, for lack of a better word. He lift up and there they are.

And I saw—I saw one run over towards a rock, and the Lord picked up the rock. I saw another one run over to someone to hide him, and the fear of the Lord fell on him, and they turned him in, they gave him up. They couldn't go anywhere and hide.

So, Father, in the Name of Jesus, we come together and we agree as touching this thing. We ask You to uncover, we ask You to remove the cover and the veil and the secrecy and the lies, so that these that are Your enemies and enemies of Israel and enemies of the U.S., enemies of the Lord Jesus, enemies of the church, uncover them, and let there be not a place they can go that they can hide.

Let there not be a rock they can hide under. Reveal them. Cause it to be manifest. Cause it to come forth, that our intelligence would know it and our leaders would know it and our military would know it, from the least to the greatest, every one, the planners, the financiers, those behind it, every contact in every country, and cause that they get so hot that everywhere they'd go for people to hide them, let Your fear fall on them, that they'd say, "No! No! You can't come here. No." And they'd give them up and they'd report them and they'd reveal them.

Let Your mighty hand uncover these and reveal them, and let them be manifest.

In Jesus' Name we ask it, we agree on it, we're believing You for it.

Information flows even now. Intelligence flows even now to our leaders. Hallelujah. And to our military, in Jesus' Name. Oh, hallelujah.

Closing Comments by Kenneth Copeland:

Now, that's a powerful word from heaven, and you set yourself in agreement with that right now. Go to the Word, read these scriptures, stand on the Word of God.

Listen, we're going to take our place. All that God has taught all of us all these years, we're not going to just stand by and wring our hands and say, "Well, what do we do now?"

We're taking our place and we're taking our stand in the Name of Jesus.

We pray for you. If you have any word or any news about any of our Partners with Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Eagle Mountain International Church, or any families associated with us in any way, we would appreciate any and all information you have about that. We are conducting a Partner search. We want to know and to be able to minister to any of our Partners anywhere, any way that we can.

Thank you for praying for us. We're praying for you and standing with you. And especially at a time like this, remember: Jesus is Lord!
